QUESTION

Why does my Multy LAN IP switch to 10.0.0.1?

ANSWER

The default LAN IP subnet on Multy is 192.168.212.1

There are two reasons may cause the LAN IP switch to 10.0.0.1

1. WAN IP conflict,

When Multy detected the WAN IP is in 192.168.212.X subnet during the installation, Multy will automatically switch the LAN IP subnet as 10.0.0.1 to avoid the IP conflict.

2. DNS setting,

The DNS setting on Multy App is for the public DNS server, do not set a DNS server in the Multy Local Network.

If user set the customize DNS with 192.168.212.X on Multy App, Multy will detect the WAN IP conflict with the local IP and reconfigure the local network setting, then switch the IP from 192.168.212.1 to 10.0.0.1.
