What happens if Root AP does not support Wireless Bridge?

Question

I have a NWA1100AX and WAC6103D-I in Nebula. After I use NWA1100AX as a root and WAC6103D-I as a repeater, I enabled the wireless bridge but failed to get any link on the LAN port of the WAC6103D-I whose LAN 1 is shown as Down on the AP detail page.

Is that the reason that NWA1100AX is not supported the wireless bridge?

What happens if Root AP does not support the Wireless Bridge?

Answer

When the root AP is not supported the wireless bridge, the wireless bridge is not enabled either. The repeater is shown  as the following status when the root AP is not supported the wireless bridge.

1. UPLINK/LAN traffic is disabled
2. AP's LED is in orange (alert) status
3. Uplink status shows as “FALLBACK”
