How to allow specific IP address access the device which equipment behind LTE3301 from WAN

Scenario

Allow specific IP address access the device which equipment behind LTE3301 via LTE3301’s WAN IP address pass through port forwarding and remote management rule.

NOTE. Here use VMG1312-B10A behind LTE3301 for example.

Step

Topology:

Procedure:

1.Make sure the second device could be access from WAN. Such as remote management WAN should be allow, use VMG1312-B10A for example as below:

2.LTE3301 with FW V1.00(AAYE.9)C0 and default factory settings.

3.LTE3301 obtain WAN IP 192.168.20.11 from LTE Instrument.

4.Check what WAN IP address second device get on Connected Devices GUI page.(Monitor>DHCP Table)

5.Setup Port Forwarding.(Configuration>Network>NAT>Port Forwarding)

6.Creating Port Forwarding rule press Add button and Apply it.

  • Test: Server IP 192.168.1.34 ; Port Range 3389-3389 ; Translation Port Range 3389-3389 ; protocol TCP.

7.Setup Remote Management to allow the specific IP address access LTE3301 from WAN. (Configuration>Management>Remote MGMT>Remote Management)

  • Remote Management enabled, fill in the particular IP address 192.168.10.111/32:3389 which should be allowed to access LTE3301 from WAN.

8.Access (VMG1312-B10A) second device’s WAN from LTE Instrument via LTE3301’s WAN IP address pass through port forwarding.

  • Test: 192.168.20.11:3389

Verification

Access (VMG1312-B10A) second device’s WAN from LTE Instrument via LTE3301’s WAN IP address pass through port forwarding.

  • Test: 192.168.20.11:3389
