What’s the procedure to configure the captive portal with RADIUS authentication on the NXC controller?

Answer

Step 1: Go to Configuration > Object > AP profile > SSID > Security > Default. Set the Security Mode as none.

             Set the Radius Server Type as Internal.

 

Step 2: Go to Configuration > Object > AP profile > SSID > SSID List > Add Edit Profile Name. Edit ssid1. Set the SSID as CP_Radius_Test. Set the Security Profile as default.

 

Step 3: Go to Configuration > Object > AAA Server > Radius.

Enter the Server Address, Authentication Port, and Key. Select the Case-sensitive User Names check box.

Step 4: Go to Configuration > Object > Auth. Method > Edit Authentication Method default. Select group radius and click OK.

Step 5-1: Go to Configuration > Network > Captive Portal > Captive Portal.

Select Enable Captive Portal and Internal Web Portal. Set the Authentication Method as default.

Step 5-2: Go to Configuration > Network > Captive Portal > Redirect on AP >

Authentication Policy Rule. Edit the authentication policy rule.

Select Enable Policy, enter the Profile Name, select the SSID, and set Authentication as force.

Step 5-3: Go to Configuration > Network > Captive Portal > Redirect on AP >

Authentication Policy Group > Edit Authentication Policy Group default.

Add a policy group profile.

Step 6-1. Go to Configuration > Wireless > AP Management > AP Group > Group Summary > Radio setting. Set the SSID profile to AP Mode.

Step 6-2: Go to Configuration > Wireless > AP Management > AP Group > Group Summary > Portal redirect on AP. Set the authentication policy group.

Step 7. Go to Configuration > System > Auth. Server.

Set the Authentication Method as default.
