Why was the station connectconnecting to the 5 GHz radio was disassociated when AP select the a DFS channel was selected on the AP?

Question

Why was the station connecting to the 5GHz radio disassociated when a DFS channel was selected on the AP?

Answer

When a DFS channel is selected on the AP, the speed rate of WLAN-5G is shown as unknown in the web GUI.

The 5GHz channels 52 to 140 are DFS channels, so the AP needs some time to detect if there is any radar using the same channel.

When the AP detects a radar signal, the 5GHz Wi-Fi is unavailable. Hence, the station connected to the 5GHz radio will be disassociated.

After the AP confirms there is no radar using the same channel, the AP will enable the 5GHz Wi-Fi.

To avoid being disassociated from the 5GHz Wi-Fi when using a DFS channel, it is suggested to change the 5GHz indoor channel for station connection to 36-48.
