Why can't users save the data from a USB flash drive to the NAS/NSA via the copy/sync button?
1. Make sure the format of the USB flash drive is “FAT, FAT32, NTFS, ext2, ext3 or ext4”, which are the only formats supported by the NAS.
2. Check the status of the USB port LED: if the LED is not lighted, insert the USB flash drive into another USB port and try again.
3. Change and use another USB flash drive with any of the above formats and try again.
4. Log into the NAS as an administrator. Go to Management page > Applications > “Copy/Sync Button”, check if the copy direction is USB > NAS and check the NAS copy target.
When the copy target folder and copy direction have been configured, users can press the Copy/Sync button once, and the data will be copied from the USB flash drive to the NAS target folder successfully.
If the USB LED does not light up and the USB flash drive is not detected, and the same situation happens even when the user has changed to another USB flash drive and/or USB port, contact the local reseller or distributor for repair or replacement services.
Note: USB detection will check the latest plugged in device. For example, USB 1 is plugged into the USB port, and USB 1 is detected successfully. However when a second USB is plugged into the USB port, only the second USB is now detected.
