What is the procedure to configure QoS for VoIP traffic?

Scenario

There are a few items to be aware of before a user can configure a QoS rule for VoIP traffic.

1. VoIP Client IP address (Local & Remote site)

2. The port that has been used by VoIP communication (In this case, VoIP communication using port 20002).

Step

SBG3300 (HQ)

Step 1: (Add Queue)

Go to Network Setting > QoS > Queue Setup > Add the queue which is needed.

Step 2: (Configure QoS rule for Local site > Remote site VoIP traffic).

Go to Network Setting > QoS > Class Setup > Click on the Add New Classifier button > Configure the rule as shown below.

Step 3: (Configure QoS rule for Remote site > Local site VoIP traffic)
Go to Network Setting > QoS > Class Setup > Click Add New Classifier button > Configure the rule as below.

Step 4: (Enable QoS)

Go to Network Setting > QoS > General > Select QoS Enable > Click Apply button

 

SBG3300 (Branch)

Step 1: (Add Queue)

Go to Network Setting > QoS > Queue Setup > Add the queue which we needed

Step 2: (Configure QoS rule for Local site > Remote site VoIP traffic)

Go to Network Setting > QoS > Class Setup > Click Add New Classifier button > Configure the rule as below

Step 3: (Configure QoS rule for Remote site > Local site VoIP traffic)

Go to Network Setting > QoS > Class Setup > Click Add New Classifier button > Configure the rule as below

Step 4: (Enable QoS)

Go to Network Setting > QoS > General > Select QoS Enable > Click Apply button

Verification

Go to Network Setting > QoS > Monitor > Queue Monitor will indicator the traffic which match QoS rule.
