What is the procedure to export and import the database of the device list on the VRPT by using MySQL commands?

Steps:

Export database of device list 

 

If you use Windows 7, please make sure you switch to "Administrator" privilege first.

1. Open a command line and change the directory to C:\Program Files\ZyXEL\ Vantage Report\mysql-4.1.15\bin.

2. Type the command: mysqldump   -uroot  -pzyxelwxvrpt --port=3316 vrpt  zyxeldevice  folder devdashconfig > dump.sql

 

Import database of device list 

 

1. Install new VRPT 3.7.

2. Save dump.sql to C:\Program Files\ZyXEL\ Vantage Report\mysql-4.1.15\bin.

3. Open a command line and change the directory to C:\Program Files\ZyXEL\ Vantage Report\mysql-4.1.15\bin

4. Type the command: mysql -uroot -pzyxelwxvrpt --port=3316  vrpt  < dump.sql

5. Select "Stop Vantage Report" from the start menu of Windows.

6. Select "Start Vantage Report" from the start menu of Windows.

Verification

 

The file dump.sql can be found in C:\Program Files\ZyXEL\ Vantage Report\mysql-4.1.15\bin
