When do Echo-request and Echo-reply of PPP LCP happen?
Step 1: Echo-request/Echo-reply happens when PPP sessions are created.
Step 2: Their purpose is to ensure the PPP session works fine.
Step 3: If Echo-request is sent 3 times and gets no response from Echo-reply, the PPP session will terminate.
Step 4: Echo-request/Echo-reply is sent periodically.
Example:
1. When a PPPoE Client gets an IP from PPPoE Server, the PPPsession is created successfully, and then Echo-request/Echo-reply will work
2. Echo-request/Echo-reply are generated every 10 seconds
